We read a lot around here. A LOT.Â
O will bring Todd or me a book in the most adorable way possible & then will plop herself in our lap, say “Thanks” & then sits there waiting for us to read her a book. How do you say no to that? You don’t, that’s how. If you can’t find her, she’s probably in her brother’s room raiding the bookshelf. Lboy loves to pick books right before bedtime, the trick is getting him to choose a reasonable amount. Ha! I felt like all the reading had really paid off when Lboy’s teacher told us that it was obvious he is read too quite a bit. 🙂
These are our favorites right now:
This is a classic, everyone should have it in their kids’ library. We make of point of reading this book last. The rhythm of the book is very calming, sounds crazy I know. But it’s a very soothing book!
This an ULTIMATE favorite right now!
And we plan on buying Aliens Love Underpants!
That’s Not my Monkey & That’s Not My Puppy (and anything else in the series)
One of our all time favorite family reads! The illustrations are BEAUTIFUL!
Make sure you read it when you can dance along, absolutely hilarious!
Lady Bug Girl & Bumble Bee Boy (all the books in the series!)
The Amazing Adventures of Bumble Bee Boy
O was reading this book when we were at Barnes & Noble one day & then accidentally ripped the cover. I was so ticked that I had to buy this silly book. I hadn’t read it, but thought it looked ridiculous. Got it home & the kids asked if we could read it. It turned out to be the biggest hit of all the books we’ve ever read. What’s that saying? Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. 😉
These are a few of our favorites…. What are some of yours?

No David has always been a favorite around here too. I have three two year old grandchildren right now–I think it’s time I picked up another copy of this book. It’s time! Stopping by from mama kats kelley at the road goes ever ever on

The No David series is so great! I can really relate to that mothers frustrations and my kids really get a kick out of his naughty behavior. 😉
