Dear Blogger,
I’d really, really, really like to thank you for shutting down to do “maintenance” for THREE days last week. I’d especially like to thank you for shutting down & then not telling all the wonderful bloggers that help make you so successful that their blogs were going to go bye-bye. Why do I thank you?
That would be because sooo many amazing bloggers hired me to transfer their blogs over to WordPress that I don’t know if the blogosphere will ever be the same again! It’s going to be even more awesome!
Dear Employee at Walmart that mistook me for a cashier,
Yes, I know, I know, there is nothing wrong with being a cashier at Walmart. Except, my parents spent waaay too much money on my two bachelors, one in a foreign language, for me to be making minimum wage (now I make nothing as a SAHM, jokes on them! :)) And I know that I looked like crap in my tshirt & jeans & fro’d out hair. But next time…oh whatever. I’ll shower next time I go out in public.
Dear Blogging Friends,
Thank you for giving me a reason to look forward to checking my email every morning. I LOVE all the comments you leave me on my posts everyday. And even better than that? Thank you for all the awesome posts you write every day! What do I love to check as much as my email? Google Reader!
Dear Sand Throwing Toddler,
Do you not realize that I just bought you the sand & I just filled up your sand box. I carried 7 very, very heavy bags of wet sand 3 times to get your box all nice & fun. Then as I laid down the visqueen under the sand box, you whizzing all over said visqueen before I could pour the sand in there was a nice little touch. And in less than 10 minutes I thought it was absolutely amazing that you managed to throw almost an entire bag’s worth of sand out of your box.
I appreciate even more that you thought sand should be dumped all over my iphone. That rocked. Not.
Dear Wonderful People who hire me to make their blogs beautiful,
I really think it’s awesome that you think I am talented enough to make your blog even more amazing. I absolutely am in awe that you trust me with such a task! I know how important a blog is to a person & for me to be the person that gets to be a part of making it more awesome & exciting for you? Well, that just makes my day!
And, I love how awesomely patient you are with me when I have a sick kid, sick husband, or birthday party to plan with a ton of people coming to my house & my house looks like crap so I’m cleaning like a psycho lady. You all rock!
Paz,
Me
🙂

Love these, so funny! As far as children are concerned, sand belongs anywhere BUT the sandbox. Give up the fight now. It is not worth it 🙂

What a fun format for a post! :> Yea, I was one of those Blogger people effected. I still don’t have any of my comments back from a writing post (heartbreaking!). But, if there’s good to come in it, I’m glad it’s brought bloggy business your way…woohoo! Oh yea, and adore the toddler sandbox letter. Thank you so much for the giggle!:>

– What a gift Kelly! You have taken my breath away with these buaftiuel images of my family. You gave us such freedom to explore and spend time as a family and all along the way you found those moments that reflect us. I love the silliness, the stillness and the beauty that comes from my children. And you nailed all of these. I can’t wait for our part 2. Just have to figure out our outfits again. May have to recycle these!08/24/2011 1:25 pm

I’m glad you are getting more business now from Blogger being down. I’m doing my part to send everyone your way because I love my blog design.
And, I know your WalMarts are the best in the country but I still don’t like shopping at that place. They are not friendly here and they wouldn’t return stuff that had a receipt and tags on it.

I love this, well, I didn’t like the Blogger fiasco, but it made me realize that I need to stop dragging my feet with respect to making the move over the WP. I checked out your design site and loved it! I’ll definitely be in touch!

Too funny! I love the sand one … I just gave me 20 month old nephew some chalk as a gift and he decided instead of writing on the ground he was going to write all over my carpet, why thank you so much sweet nephew 🙂

So happy to hear you will be moving so many people to WordPress. Every new wordpress blog makes the entire blogosphere better… 🙂 And the sand throwing thing? That’s why I refuse to buy a sandbox!

I knew that with the little ‘hiccup’ that blogger had that you & others would have enough work to keep you busy for a long time! Which is awesome for you!
Hmm… I’m rethinking building a sandbox for my 16 month old son now.

Awesome letter!! I’ll definitely hire you when I’m ready to make the switch…but, I’m scared!
I feel the same way about my e-mails! And the sandbox thing? Oh boy…I have no words of wisdom for you! I have a thumbsucker who plays in the sand and then sucks his thumb. gross.

People mistake me for a a sales associate all the time. I used to work in retail so maybe I look like I know what I’m doing… or its because I throw my purse in a change room as soon as I get there so I can focus (that’s probably it).
I hate sandboxes.

What is it with kids and sand? Ours did this too. We gave up after day 2 when they were small and would just put it in a pile in the yard.
I have blogger and WordPress blogs and even though WordPress is harder to get just right with widgets and things, I am really starting to like it! The outage last week was infuriating. I didn’t even bother posting.
